52 Must-Watch Korean Dramas and TV Shows on Netflix Right Now
Gone are the days when Kdramas were only seen from the perspective of RomCom, i.e., romantic-comedy lovers.
Today is the generation of Squid Game, Hellbound, All Of Us Are Dead, My Name, and Narco-Saints, and you know the drill.
From action, thriller, and fantasy to romance, comedy, and musical, there is something for every K-fan. The more dramas, the more entertainment.
With such an abundance of choices of Kdrama on Netflix, finding your next must-watch can be tricky. But I have done all the research and compiled this list, so you don’t have to.
If you’re interested in more Korean entertainment, consult my list of best Korean films on Amazon Prime. And if you are looking for other ways, like Learn Korean with Kpop and Podcasts for learning Korean? I’ve got you covered there, too.
With hundreds of options, it was tough to narrow down. But I tried my best by considering various factors like popularity metrics, story, ratings, and critics’ reviews. Of course, only those currently available on Netflix.
So, here is the list of the 52 best Korean TV series on Netflix in no particular order.
1. Hellbound (지옥), 2021
Hellbound is the only series that could break Squid Game’s record. It seems interesting, as both the Netflix original shows come from Korean entertainment.
This is set in 2027 to 2030, when people live in fear of being dragged to hell, haunted by prophecies.
Inspired and adapted from a Webtoon of the same name, directed by Yeon-sang ho, the legend behind Train to Busan is highly recommended.
2. Hometown cha cha cha (갯마을 차차차), 2021
Hometown Cha-cha-cha is a treat for you if you are a slice-of-life and family drama fan.
Set in a small imaginary village, Gongjin, in Korea, it focuses on the life of a multi-talented man who graduated from Seoul National University. This is one of the three most prestigious and top universities in Korea. But still settled in the village with all the funny, nosey, lovely villagers.
And our lead, Shin Min-A, is a dentist who sets up her clinic in the village where all these people surround her. She struggles to set up in a small town and meet the male lead, the king of hearts, Kim Seon-ho.

Only one will win. The phrase “You lose, you die” has been brought to life in this series. This feature won’t let you leave your couch. Its popularity proves that. Doesn’t it?

Now the nostalgic slice-of-life drama is not going anywhere. When talking about my favorite Korean dramas on Netflix, this one is about friendship and family. This is filled with genuine emotions, showcasing all our relations’ purity and breakdowns.
